古来より長寿と繁栄の象徴として、慶事の席を彩ってきた伊勢海老。
津田水引折型では、その力強い生命力を「威勢海老（いせいえび）」と名付け、加賀水引独自の立体技法によって、格調高い置き飾りへと昇華させました。
加賀水引の創始者・津田左右吉は、細工を創る際、水引の基本である「あわじ結び」をすべての造形の根幹に据えることを流儀としていました。
この威勢海老もまた、その伝統を継承しています。強靭な殻や躍動する肢体など、一見複雑に見えるパーツのすべてが、縁起の良い「あわじ結び」の重なりによって緻密に構成されています。
水引一本一本が描く繊細な曲線と、空間を切り取るような立体美。
平面的だった伝統の結びに命を吹き込み、甲冑のような重厚さと、今にも跳ねんとするしなやかさを両立させています。

Isei Ebi — An Auspicious Form Woven with Traditional Knots
Since ancient times, the spiny lobster (Ise Ebi) has been cherished as a symbol of longevity and prosperity, gracing celebrations across Japan. At Tsuda Mizuhiki Origata, we capture this vibrant life force in a work we call "Isei Ebi" (meaning "Vigorous Lobster"), elevating it into a dignified ornamental piece through the unique three-dimensional artistry of Kaga Mizuhiki.
Sokichi Tsuda, the founder of Kaga Mizuhiki, established a tradition of using the "Awaji-musubi"—the fundamental knot of celebration—as the structural core of every creation. This Isei Ebi honors that legacy. From its robust shell to its dynamic limbs, every intricate detail is meticulously composed of layers of these auspicious knots.
The delicate curves of each individual strand create a sculptural beauty that defines the space around it. By breathing life into traditional flat knots, we have achieved a striking balance: the heavy, armored presence of a lobster and the supple grace of a creature poised to leap.
